Job summary

UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA is seeking undergraduate students in Norman to serve as producers, shoutcasters, or streamers for Esports and Co-Curricular Innovation. You will participate in organizing virtual and physical campus events, maintain professionalism, and support on-site productions while representing the university.

Candidates must be enrolled for Fall 2026 and be part of OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation, with strong communication, Discord skills, and knowledge of esports.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Must be enrolled for the Fall 2026 term and/or Summer/Fall semesters.
• Applicants must be located in the Norman or OKC Metropolitan area for employment.
• Must be part of the OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation Program.

Pay Range:Targeted salary of $8.50 - 12.00/hour, based on education and experience.

Position Introduction:

Producers, Casters, & Streamers of Esports and Co-Curricular Innovation The University of Oklahoma Division of Student Affairs is looking for undergraduate students who are located in the Norman area to serve as producers, shoutcasters, or streamers for
Esports and Co-Curricular Innovation. Production members are responsible for participating in the organization and the execution of virtual and physical events for campus in need of on-site productions and maintaining a professional manner during the planning and execution of said events.

OVERALL SCOPE

Program Culture & Conduct

You are responsible for creating quality videos or articles that reflect the culture and nature of OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation. This includes strong planning, time management, and respecting all team members and subjects. Team members serve as representatives of the university and ECCI during all productions and public-facing activities and must keep all interactions respectful and harassment-free.

Availability & Communication Expectations

Students are expected to maintain active communication with their respective teams and ECCI leadership. When committed to a project, team members must respond to official team communications (such as Discord and email) within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible.

Deliverables & Participation

Production Team members are expected to actively participate in official match coverage productions throughout each semester, either as a producer, observer, or caster. Students are expected to attend or schedule Production Team trainings organized by team leadership.

Equipment & Facility Management

You are entrusted with the use and care of ECCI broadcasting equipment, software, and production facilities. You are responsible for properly setting up, tearing down, and storing equipment after use. Any technical issues, damages, or missing inventory must be reported to ECCI leadership immediately to ensure our facilities remain in peak operation condition.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Combined responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Attend required training(s) for the team.
• Manage live broadcast operations, in-game camera observation, or on-stream shoutcasting for assigned virtual, physical, and hybrid esports events.
• Maintain active, proactive communication with ECCI leadership via Discord.
• Assist with the setup, execution, and teardown of broadcasting equipment and software for official events.

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
• Must be a current or incoming OU Student and enrolled in the SUMMER and/or FALL semester(s). If not yet enrolled for classes, please attach a document explaining actual or estimated application and/or enrollment date in the area reserved for class schedule.
• Applicants must be located in the Norman or OKC Metropolitan area to be considered for employment.
• Must be currently in the OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation Program.
• Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
