Job summary

Rinker Materials in Henderson, NV is seeking a Welder to join our plant team. You will weld and fabricate cages, read blueprints, and ensure assemblies meet design specifications and quality standards.

Use MIG/TIG/stick techniques, handle materials, and maintain welding equipment. You will work outdoors in a manufacturing setting, collaborating with teammates to hit production targets and maintain safety.

Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication skills to assemble cages to specs.
• Reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate forklift if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to weld cages per specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and assemble cages accordingly.
• Prepare materials, cut, fit, and position components.
• Use MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques as needed.
• Inspect finished products for quality and safety.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment.
• Maintain records of work performed for QC and production tracking.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are looking for a WELDER to join our HENDERSON, NEVADA plant. As a cage welder with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Welding and Fabrication: Operate welding equipment to assemble and weld cages, ensuring they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Reading Blueprints: Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately assemble cages according to design specifications.
• Material Handling: Select and prepare materials for welding, including cutting, fitting, and positioning components
• Welding Techniques: Utilize various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding, to join metal components securely.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform routine checks on welding equipment to ensure it functions properly.
• Collaboration: Work in coordination with other team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
• Record Keeping: Maintain records of completed work and any necessary documentation for quality control and production tracking.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

About You

We Require:

• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
