Job summary

Bi-Rite Market on Polk Street seeks a Production Butcher to deliver exceptional guest experiences in the Butchery and Deli. You will help maintain product quality, rotate inventory, and support seamless operations with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.

Required are six months of back-of-house/butchery experience, and ServSafe plus California Food Handler within 30 days of hire. Ability to stand long hours and lift items is also essential.

• Six months back-of-house or butchery experience recommended.
• ServSafe Certification and California Food Handler card required within 30 days post-hire.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist in the Butchery and Deli departments.
• Create attractive displays and keep displays neat and labeled.
• Prepare all butchery offerings to Bi-Rite standards and assist Deli as needed.
• Rotate inventory, prevent waste, and restock high-volume products.
• Maintain clean department and handle damaged or spoiled products.
