Experis Technology Group in Redmond, WA seeks an experienced Network Technical Support Engineer for a contract role paying $65/hr on W2. You will diagnose and resolve complex broadband network issues across access, IP, transport, and service layers.

The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and packet-capture tools, and collaboration with NOC and engineering teams to restore service after launch.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networks in a production environment.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, ARP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, routing and IP connectivity.
Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF/IS-IS.
Ability to use network CLI to investigate configuration and operational state.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for production broadband network issues following service launch.
Troubleshoot incidents involving customer connectivity, packet loss, latency, and performance.
Analyze issues across the network stack to locate root causes and affected domains.
Perform fault isolation and identify specific network elements contributing to incidents.
Troubleshoot VLANs, QinQ, Ethernet, ARP, MAC learning, STP, and related access/aggregation tech.
Troubleshoot IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, routing policies, VRFs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and connectivity.
