Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Overview:
The Boat Manufacturing Rigger is responsible for installing rigging components and systems on new boats during the assembly process. This includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as mounting hardware, controls, and accessories. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in marine or similar manufacturing environments and takes pride in precision work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install steering systems, engines, controls, trim tabs, wiring harnesses, and other components.

  • Route and secure electrical wiring and fuel lines according to schematics.

  • Mount accessories such as seats, lights, hatches, and hardware.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure systems function correctly and meet safety standards.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and installation instructions.

  • Work closely with production supervisors and other team members to meet daily build targets.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous rigging or marine manufacturing experience .

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
