Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to manufacture products to high quality standards.
• Check blends, tanks and equipment for proper cleaning and operation.
• Assist in cleaning recyclable containers and maintaining a clean production area.
• Assist unloading of raw materials and freight from vendors.
• Follow safety precautions when handling chemicals or hazardous materials.
• Ensure effluent is properly treated before discharge.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Apply labels and stenciling to packages and containers.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• Assist in taking physical inventory when necessary.
• Support Continuous Improvement in production.
• May require some evenings or weekend hours.
• Travel occasionally for customer or vendor visits.

Job description

Daily Responsibilities:

• Follow all procedures and guidelines while manufacturing products to the highest quality standards
• Check all blends, tanks and auxiliary equipment to assure they are cleaned properly and operating correctly
• Assist in cleaning all recyclable containers and making sure that the production area and overall plant are kept clean
• Assist in unloading of raw materials and other freight that is delivered from vendors
• Responsible for taking every safety precaution when manufacturing chemicals or handling hazardous materials
• Make sure all effluent leaving the plant is properly treated before discharge
• Assist in performing general preventative maintenance on equipment
• Apply all necessary labels and stenciling to appropriate packages and containers
• Proficient skills to operate pallet jacks and forklifts
• Follow Good Manufacturing Processes at all times
• Assist in taking physical inventory when necessary
• Responsible for Continuous Improvement in all aspects of production
• May be required to occasionally work evening and weekend hours as needed to ensure proper completion of duties
• Infrequent travel may be required including overnight trips by car or airplane for customer or vendor visits
• All other duties as assigned
