Colonial Group in Idaho is seeking a dedicated manufacturing associate to support a busy plant floor. You will work as part of a team to boost productivity, minimize downtime, and help ensure products meet quality standards.

The role requires readiness to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed, with good attendance and safety focus. You will follow 5S practices, assist various plant tasks, and help keep equipment and processes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste.
• Assist all plant floor jobs as needed.
• Follow safety rules, lock-out/tag-out procedures and housekeeping practices.
• Ensure high-quality products are produced by the machines.
• Maintain shop and equipment per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May stack parts up to 50 lbs. for up to 12 hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.

Follow all company safety rules, lock-out tag-out procedures and housekeeping practices.

Ensure high-quality products are coming off the machine.

Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to stack parts up to 50 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

Must be willing to work EVERY shift, overtime and weekends as needed and on short notice.

Must have a good attendance record and be a good communicator.

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.

Will be standing for prolonged periods of time and performing tasks that involve lifting, bending and stooping.

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Forklift experience is a plus

Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.

Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.

Excellent communication skills.

Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
