Job summary

Lingo Staffing, Inc. is hiring Production Assemblers for a manufacturing partner in Cloverdale, VA.

This 1st shift, contract-to-perm role involves assembling axles for tractor trailers in a production environment using blueprints, drawings, and specifications. The position requires mechanical aptitude, experience with hand/power tools, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand and walk throughout the shift, and work in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have experience in using hand/power tools.
• Heavy lifting - 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to assemble axles according to a spec sheet / diagrams and written instructions.
• Must be able to work safely in a production (fast paced) environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• The industrial mechanical assemblers will be responsible for assembling axles for tractor trailers in a production based environment.
• Fit and assemble metal components using blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Maintain productivity and safety standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment
