Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services, in partnership with Vibram, is hiring at the Vibram plant in North Brookfield, MA. Various production roles include Production Associates and Finishing Associates. Temp-to-hire opportunities with pay in the mid-teens per hour.

Location is North Brookfield, MA, with a focus on entry to mid-level manufacturing roles. Candidates with or without prior experience are welcome to apply, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred, but not required for most roles.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Good communication and basic math skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, walk up stairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered lift truck or hand truck to move racks or trays of biscuits and molded parts.
• Operate microwaves and molding presses to mold cushion soles or rubber heels.
• Consolidate and pile biscuits on racks and cover with plastic sheets as required.
• Inspect molded soles for defects and segregate rejects.
• Use handheld scanner to scan bar codes and counts of rejects.
• Perform cosmetic painting and touch ups to label and finish soles.

CoWorx Staffing Services, in partnership with VIBRAM located in North Brookfield, MA, is hiring!
Vibram’s manufacturing plant in North Brookfield, MA has been around since the early 1800s. Positions include: Production Associates, Finishing Associates, Mixing Associates, AND MORE!

Responsibilities

• Operate powered lift truck of various types or hand truck to move racks or trays of biscuits and molded parts and empty trays and racks about the department. Truck molds to and from storage and assist in mold changes.


• Operate microwaves and molding presses as required to mold a variety of cushion, EVA or other shoe soles or rubber heels with or without washers or heel cores.


• Perform duties required to consolidate and pile biscuits on racks in multiples for molders, uncover and cover biscuits with plastic sheets as required.


• Inspect molded soles and heels for a wide variety of defects and flaws such as, but not limited to, blisters, holes, dirt, tears, marks, color distinction, etc. Segregate and set aside rejects.


• Use hand held scanner to scan bar code, counts, and types of rejects, total acceptable, parts.


• Perform cosmetic painting and touch up to label and finish soles. Use markers and paints of appropriate colors to touch up a variety of flaws.


• Operate overhead hopper door to drop batch at desired rate into rolls. Allow material to be processed between rolls, cut with knife and feed back into rolls for complete blending of desired consistency. Watch for color blend, lumps, etc. Control roller temperature by means of hand operated water flow valves.


• Raise conveyor gate and slitting knives to slit strip of material and convey to splicer and cooling conveyor. Cut trimmings and feed back to required location in rolls. Control conveyor speed according to amount of stretch and to maintain length of loops in batch-off conveyor. Watch for and clear jams at front of conveyor.

Other Information

Pay: $17.25 – 19.00/hr.
Temp to hire opportunities. Paid holidays provided by Vibram after 30 days working on assignment.
