Job summary

Heaven Hill is seeking a hands-on Production Associate for Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn, onsite from 8am to 4pm, Monday–Friday. The role entails supporting daily whiskey production, mashing, fermentation, cleaning, inventory, and general distillery operations.

The ideal candidate will work with operations and production teams, follow SOPs, ensure cleanliness, safety, and accurate recording of production data.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years minimum experience in a brewery, winery, distillery, manufacturing, or production facility preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and comfort driving a box truck required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle production equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including a box truck, to transport materials and inventory.
• Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials.
• Clean and sanitize production tanks following SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas.
• Complete daily cleaning routines for production rooms, tools, tanks, hoses and valves.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals.

This position is onsite and based at Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This is a full time role working Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

What the Role Is

Widow Jane Distillery is looking for a hands-on Production Associate to support the daily production of our whiskeys at our distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

This role works closely with the operations and production teams across mashing, fermentation, cleaning, inventory, and general distillery operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a physical production environment, has a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety, and can consistently follow established processes and standard operating procedures.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Mandatory to safely operate company vehicles, including a box truck, to transport production materials and inventory as needed
• Safely operate a forklift for moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials and inventory
• Clean and sanitize production tanks, following established cleaning procedures
• Maintain a strong general-cleaning mindset and take ownership of the cleanliness and organization of production areas
• Complete daily cleaning routines for production rooms, tools, tanks, hoses, valves, and other production equipment
• Safely handle, measure, and use cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures and guidelines

Who You Are…

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 year previous experience in a brewery, winery, distillery, manufacturing, or production facility; beverage alcohol, brewing, distilling, food production or similar environment preferred
• Valid driver’s license and comfort driving a box truck required
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working with production equipment, tools, hoses, tanks, pumps, and valves
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow SOPs and production guidelines
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and work effectively as part of a team
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility preferred
• Familiar with 5S and Lean Manufacturing production systems.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety
• Comfortable safely handling cleaning chemicals and following chemical-handling procedures
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production equipment
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when recording production and inventory data
• Ability to follow established SOPs and standard work consistently
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and be a self-starter
• Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a production team
• OSHA and hazardous materials training a plus
