CARLEX is hiring for a production associate. Starting pay is $19.75 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and vacation from day one.

Additional incentives include a weekly attendance bonus, potential quarterly incentives up to $750, PPE provided, and opportunities for advancement. The role involves general production tasks, quality checks, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift on weekend swing schedule (Thu-Sun or Fri-Sun) and overtime.
• Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and move items safely.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload parts, assemble and perform duties as assigned.
• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans.
• Operate machines and manage changeovers.
• Perform quality checks and input data into the quality system.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S).
• Perform other departmental duties as directed by supervision.
• Understand lockouts and E-stops and PPE requirements.
• Work in a fast-paced environment to keep the process running.
• Handle glass safely and contribute to continuous improvement.

Weekly Attendance Bonus: $1-$2 per hour depending on position

KEY TASKS INCLUDE:

• General Production responsibilities including loading and unloading parts, assembly and additional duties as assigned.
• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans
• Operate machines along with other key tasks such as changeovers
• Do quality checks and input data into Quality system to keep the process nominal and input GMaPS data when required
• Maintain an organized clean work environment. 5S
• Perform other departmental job duties when directed by supervision
• Understands required PPE, location and purpose of all lock outs and E-stops
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment keeping the process running
• Handle all types of glass safely

REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing preferred.

Other Requirements

Ability to work a 12-hour shift on the weekend swing schedule (working Thursday - Sunday, and Friday-Sunday) and required overtime.

Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment.

Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and/or occasionally able to walk 5-10 feet while carrying a 45-50 lb. windshield.

Able to raise objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.

Assemble components on glass, involving picking, pinching and fingering objects.

Repetitive movements of wrists, hands and/or fingers

Repetitive twisting and bending of upper & lower body.

Work in extreme heat and humidity.

Regular and predictable attendance required.

Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.

Overtime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.

Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.

Some type of computer knowledge.
