Job summary

Electronic Systems Inc. (ESI) is seeking a Production Associate for the 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am; Friday 4 pm–10 pm, no weekends) in Sioux Falls, SD. You will assemble low-volume and prototype projects from prints, insert components by hand, and ensure precise placement.

Must have 3+ years in manufacturing. PPE and safety rules apply. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health options, dental/VSP, disability, 401(k) match, and life/AD&D coverage.

Production Associate | Full-Time | Shift 2 | Monday – Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am& Friday 4 pm – 10 pm NO WEEKENDS

PAY: $18.50/hour + $1.00 Shift Differential

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work directly from prints or assembly instructions to assemble low-volume and prototype projects
• Insert electronic components by hand into printed circuit boards.
• Responsible for the accuracy of component placement and assembly of final product.
• Work with other assemblers to teach assembly and soldering techniques that will ensure quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teammates to share assembly and soldering techniques that support quality and efficiency.
• Communicate job status to team leaders
• Perform testing, packing, and related tasks requiring attention to detail and teamwork.
• Participate in continuous improvement and occasional overtime as needed

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment required.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and understand verbal or written English instructions.
• Self-starter who collaborates effectively across teams.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work around standard production odors.
• Proper PPE required per ESI Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
• Periods of sitting and standing for extended time.
• Bending, reaching, and twisting during assembly and packing.
