Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, a leading manufacturer of exterior building products, is seeking a Production Associate for the third shift. You will fabricate and assemble components for windows in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

The role requires reading and following written/verbal instructions, using various tools, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Prior manufacturing and tape measure experience are preferred, with full-time hours and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Able to read and follow written or verbal instructions
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly
• Prefer experience in manufacturing
• Prefer experience reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

• Mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as needed
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Inspect for product defects and read measurements when needed
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

3rd Shift: S-W 730p-6am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.
