Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate for 1st shift to fabricate components for window assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, and using hand/power tools to build and inspect parts, with training provided.

Typical shift is Monday–Thursday 6:00 am–4:30 pm. Base pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with full-time benefits including health coverage and retirement plans. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience reading a tape measure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May assist with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as directed.
• Read and follow work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Read a tape measure and interpret measurements during tasks.
• Carry out verbal instructions and written directions.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

1st Shift Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

1st Shift:Monday-Thursday 6:0 am-4:30 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
