Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is hiring for a 3rd shift production role to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units. The position runs 6 pm–6 am, Sunday–Thursday, with walk-in interviews 12:30pm–2:00pm at 433 N Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.

Benefits start on day one; candidates must pass background checks and drug tests, be able to lift up to 50 lb, and read both verbal and written instructions. Prior manufacturing and tape measure experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Prefer manufacturing experience and tape measure experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers to complete tasks.
• Read and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Read orders, labels, and schedules and follow them precisely.
• Read measurements with a tape measure and inspect for defects.
• Operate equipment required to perform the job and train new employees.

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential

3rd Shift: 6 pm to 6 am Sunday-Thursday

Walk-in interview times 12:30pm - 2:00pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
