Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking Production Associates in Dallas for a fast-paced manufacturing role focused on assembling, inspecting, and packing windows and doors. The job requires attention to detail, solid safety practices, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

The shift runs with a 6PM start and may include up to 12 hours and Saturdays as needed. Benefits start day 1, and workers will operate hand and power tools, saws, and automated equipment while contributing to 5S initiatives

Qualifications

• 12 months in a manufacturing environment required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds continually.
• Able to stand, walk and work on concrete surfaces.
• Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to meet quality standards.
• Review work orders, prepare materials, and operate tools safely.
• Assemble components including frames, glass units, hardware, seals.
• Operate production equipment such as saws, pneumatic tools, welding machinery.
• Inspect finished products and report defects or quality concerns.
• Prepare products for shipment, including labeling and packing.
• Participate in 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and meet production targets.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $17 per hour , plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 6PM start time. Must be able to work up to 12 hours and Saturdays as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Associates help in the manufacturing and production process. This role varies based on the needs of the company and often includes operating machinery, assembling products, monitoring production lines, and conducting quality checks. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, problem‑solving skills, and adherence to safety protocols.

• Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to meet quality standards and specifications
• Review work orders, prepare materials, and safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and automated equipment
• Assemble components including frames, glass units, hardware, seals, and screens
• Operate production equipment such as saws, pneumatic tools, and welding machinery
• Inspect finished products and report defects or quality concerns
• Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, packing, and loading
• Participate in 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Support quality standards and help ensure products meet customer requirements
• Work respectfully and collaboratively as part of a team
• Support the team in achieving production and performance targets
• Follow direction of leadership and continuously verify quality through measurement.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment
• Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands

Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60° in the cooler months and up to 110° during the warmer months
• All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear and hearing protection; some work stations require additional safety equipment to include but not limited to gloves, aprons and arm guards
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistWill require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for duration of shift
• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 12 months in a Manufacturing Environment
