Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking reliable, hardworking team members to join our Production team. As a Production Associate, you will work on producing high-quality chicken, potentially in live poultry or raw chicken areas, performing tasks like processing, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, labeling, inspecting, and moving poultry products.

Flexibility to work in different departments and positions as production needs require, with emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous poultry production or food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Willing and able to work in different departments and positions as assigned.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and process poultry products.
• Use equipment to sort, weigh, and label poultry products.
• Fold liners and ensure trays are properly and securely closed.
• Operate automated equipment or manually palletize trays.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet Bell & Evans' quality standards.
• Pack, weigh, label, and move poultry products as assigned.
• Follow food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain required production speeds while prioritizing safety and quality.
• Immediately report safety, quality, or product concerns to your supervisor.
• Work in different departments and positions as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

About the Position

Bell & Evans is looking for reliable, hardworking, and motivated team members to join our Production team.

As a Production Associate, you will play an important role in producing the high-quality chicken our customers expect. Depending on your assigned department, you may work with live poultry or raw chicken products and perform a variety of tasks, including processing, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, labeling, inspecting, and moving poultry products.

While you may typically be assigned to one department, production and staffing needs may require you to work in different departments or positions. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are important to success in this role.

Physical & Work Environment

This is an active production position. You should be comfortable:

• Working in hot, cold, wet, and noisy environments.
• Working around industrial equipment.
• Standing and moving for extended periods.
• Performing repetitive movements with your arms, wrists, and hands.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds.
• Working with live poultry and/or raw chicken products, depending on assignment.
• Moving between different production areas as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
