Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Production Associate in the Paint Dept. in Jamestown, ND. This role performs paint and surface prep operations and will deliver finished parts to internal customers after painting.

The position requires a HS diploma (or GED) and at least 1 year of related experience. First shift hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with on-site work.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and prime detail parts to spec requirements with capability for top-coat application.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications.
  • Wash, wipe and sand parts as needed.

  • Cure parts after topcoat application.
  • Operate chart recorders.

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Production Associate in the Paint Dept. to join our manufacturing team in Jamestown, ND. This position will perform paint and surface prep operations for painting. After the parts have been painted the individual will un-rack the parts and deliver them to the internal customer.

1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for prepping, priming of detail parts to current spec requirements along with the capability of Top-coat Application
  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications
  • Wash, wipe and sand parts when necessary
  • Mask and prep parts for paint as required
  • Cure parts after topcoat application
  • Operate Chart recorders

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Able to operate a curing oven and chart recorders.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
