Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Associate to safely handle lumber products and verify material quality. Responsibilities include moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing material according to specifications and customer requirements.

You will maintain accurate inventory of tags, report discrepancies, and keep a clean, organized workspace while supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Math skills for basic calculations and measurement.
• Prefer manufacturing or lumber experience, but not required.
• Attention to detail to ensure correct labeling and quantities.
• Commitment to safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and materials per instructions.
• Stack finished products to predetermined bundle sizes or customer specs.
• Label material by type, size, and count; apply tags before/after treating.
• Use staple gun; band and secure material; attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Verify quantities and materials before leaving work area.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and organized; assist with other areas as needed.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
