Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paint Company in Temple, TX is seeking a Production Associate - Filler/Strainer to operate filling lines for paints and stains on the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:00 PM–6:15 AM). Starting pay is 19.48 USD per hour plus a 1.00 USD shift differential, with full-time benefits available.

You will set up and monitor filling equipment, perform quality checks, follow safety rules, and assist with line efficiencies while handling up to 50 lbs and operating a PIT as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older and able to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to read and follow English instructions and procedures.
  • Comfortable with PPE and safety rules in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and interact with filling equipment.
  • Perform quality inspections and checks on fills, labeling and coding.
  • Communicate issues to management or maintenance staff.
  • Lift cases or pails and operate a Powered Industrial Truck as needed.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and support line efficiency improvements.

Starting pay: $19.48 + $1.00 shift differential
Shift: (3rd shift): Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:15 PM

As a Production Associate - Filler/Strainer, you will be part of a team that works together to manufacture and package quality paints, stains and other materials. This work is completed in our production plants utilizing automated filling equipment. We need self-driven employees that understand collaboration and efficiency. Key Responsibilities May Include
  • Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices
  • Set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and interact with filling equipment as required
  • Perform quality inspections and checks (e.g., verify fill volumes, labeling, coding checks, etc.)
  • Communicate issues in the department or with equipment to management or maintenance personnel
  • Lift cases or pails of product as needed onto filling line conveyors
  • Drive powered industrial truck (PIT) to supply or remove materials or finished products
  • Keep work areas clean and maintain expected housekeeping standards
  • Maintain and/or assist with production line efficiency improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow instructions and operating procedures in English.
  • Able to wear all required PPE, including hard hat, steel/compositetoe safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear
  • Comfortable working in environments with temperature variations.
  • Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs
  • Able to bend, reach, and lift during tasks that involve transfer hoses, drums, or similar materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT)
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., SAP, Vorne, or similar systems)
  • Ability to complete and demonstrate understanding of required safety training
