Job summary

JBC Technologies, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing associate to perform laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly tasks in Northglenn, CO, following standard work methods and safety rules.

Job Details

Job Location: Colorado - Northglenn, CO 80233

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Purpose: Perform all tasks involved in the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. This includes laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly work with various materials including foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prioritizes safety
  • Sets-up and operates any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to correctly set up dies and equipment
  • Adheres to operating procedures/instructions
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
  • Communicates process and quality improvements
  • Maintains a clean and safe workstation; follow shop 5S system
  • Embraces a team attitude that aligns with JBC's Core Values
  • Accurately records labor and material usage in ERP system
  • Follows all JBC policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent

0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and perform basic math skills, including counting
  • Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Strong manual dexterity
Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Physical Demands
  • Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift
  • Employees subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Protective equipment not required but available
  • Protective equipment, such as gloves, required for specific tasks
Work Schedule

Normal Schedule - 1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory on Fridays and Saturdays.

Work Environment

Work performed in a plant/production environment contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise. Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision.
