Job description

R10066024 Production Associate (Cylinder Handler) (Open)

Location: Oakwood Village, OH - Filling industrial

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves meeting all safety standards for handling cylinder gases according to Airgas procedures.

In particular, you will:

  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards.
  • Understand hazards associated with various gases; interpret cylinder labels and color-coding to identify tank contents and sizes.
  • Comply with all government and company standards related to the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Load and unload cylinders from vehicles using appropriate equipment, recording their types and quantities.
  • Ensure cylinders are strapped securely on pallets during loading/unloading.
  • Inspect returned cylinders for defects and perform minor maintenance or cleaning as needed.
  • Move cylinders to designated areas using safe work methods and equipment.
  • Segregate out-of-test and defective cylinders.
  • Remove old labels, clean cylinders, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Valid Class A Driver's License.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
  • Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire them).
  • At least one (1) year of Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with a clean driving record (no more than two (2) convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in last 3 years, or a combination thereof), OR completion of an accredited driving school with similar experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
