R10059449 2nd Shift Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) (Open)

Location: Valley View, OH - Filling industrial

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Filler will be responsible for safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas.

Position Title: Production Associate (Cylinder Filler)

  • Valley View, OH
  • 2nd Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards. Conduct safety checks such as odor tests and check caps and valves. Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures.
  • Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders. Prepare cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling. Attach to manifold, evacuate cylinders, and fill by pressure and weight according to regulations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on/off pallets and trailers. Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Complete quality control sheets as required.
  • Understand hazards of various gases; read and interpret cylinder labels and color codes. Label cylinders accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year of manufacturing, filling, or loading experience preferred.
  • Background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
