Location: Miamiville, OH - Acetylene production & filling

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Filler will be responsible for safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adhering to Airgas's standard operating procedures.

Position Title: Production Associate (Cylinder Filler)
- Miamiville, OH
- 2nd shift (11am-7:30pm)

Starting pay: $22 per hour

In particular, you will:

• Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards. Conduct safety checks such as odor tests, cap and valve inspections. Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures.
• Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders. Prepare cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling, attach to manifold, evacuate to eliminate contaminants, and fill by pressure and weight per regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading cylinders on and off pallets and trailers. Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Complete quality control sheets as required.
• Understand hazards of various gases; interpret cylinder labels and color-coding to identify contents and sizes. Label cylinders accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing, filling, or loading experience preferred.
• Background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industry preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
