R10064395 Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) (Open)

Location:

Export, PA - Filling industrial

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Cylinder Filler will be responsible for safely handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures, and conduct safety checks such as odor tests, cap and valve checks, and analysis for purity and correct mixtures.
  2. Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders, prepare cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling, evacuate cylinders to eliminate contaminants, and fill cylinders by pressure and weight according to regulations.
  3. Assist with loading and unloading cylinders, operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  4. Manage paperwork to comply with DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards, and complete quality control sheets.
  5. Understand hazards associated with gases, interpret cylinder labels and color-coding, and accurately label cylinders.
  6. Comply with all safety standards related to hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
  7. Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year in manufacturing, filling, or loading experience preferred.
  • Background in gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industries preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand safety data sheets.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds regularly and moving up to 800 pounds with equipment.
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions.
  • Work may involve loud noises, odors, and mechanical hazards.
