The Blending team is responsible for checking in materials, setting up equipment, and accurately weighing and mixing ingredients.The Role & Your ImpactAs a Production Associate in Blending, you will be a key contributor to daily production operations. Your work ensures that products are manufactured safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality, GMP, and regulatory standards.Key responsibilities include:Setting up, operating, adjusting, cleaning, and sanitizing blending equipment according to proceduresAccurately weighing and mixing raw materials based on batch recipes and formulationsPrinting, applying, and verifying product labels, lot numbers, and batch recordsPerforming basic and preventative maintenance (PM) and identifying equipment issuesTaking samples for Quality Control testing as requiredMaintaining accurate production records, equipment logs, and inventory documentationAssisting in SOP development and continuous improvement activities using Lean principlesSupporting other operators as needed to meet production demandsFollowing all safety protocols, GMP requirements, and standardized work proceduresAdhering to Kosher and Halal dietary law certification guidelinesProperly using PPE, including Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR), and maintaining required certificationsWhat You’ll Need to Be SuccessfulTo perform this role safely and effectively, you’ll need:Ability to read, write, and speak EnglishHigh School Diploma or GEDExperience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred)Ability to apply basic math skills, including metric weight and volume conversionsAbility to read and follow production journals and batch documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyBasic computer skills; ERP system experience (SAP) is preferredAbility to communicate clearly with coworkers regarding production statusAbility to use basic hand tools for equipment assembly and disassemblyAdditional Skills & Interests We ValueWhile not required, the following are a plus:Experience working in a GMP-regulated or food production environmentForklift or pallet walker experienceFamiliarity with Lean or continuous improvement conceptsStrong reliability and attendance recordInterest in learning new processes and expanding technical skillsWhat We OfferAt Novonesis, we offer more than just a job:A collaborative, team-based work environmentA strong safety and quality cultureOpportunities to learn, grow, and develop new skillsThe chance to contribute to meaningful, purpose-driven workWays of Working / Working ConditionsShift: 2nd shiftHours: Monday–Thursday, 2:30PM – 12:30 AMWork location: Wausau, WI (On-site)Physical demands: Frequent movement and lifting of materials ranging from 1 kg up to 50 kgWork environment: Manufacturing setting with equipment, noise, and airborne materialsTeam-based work: All blending operations are performed by two people working togetherSafety requirements: Use of PPE and PAPR in designated environments; adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulationsCompensation & BenefitsHourly rate: $19.00 per hour plus shift premium401(k) with up to a 9% company contributionMinimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness TimeHealth, Dental, Vision & Life insuranceHealthcare savings account optionEmployee assistance programParental leaveTuition reimbursementAll benefits begin on your first dayRelevant InformationApplication deadline: 10/23/26Our purpose guides the wayIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
