Production Associate 4 - Glass Architectural 2nd shift

• Full-time
• Position Type: Permanent
• Shift: 2nd Shift

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $20.00 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Architectural Shapes (Glass) Operator is responsible for production of shaped Insulated Glass (IG) units. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Consistently hold cycle time
• Assist in movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Communicate quality issues or mechanical issues observed
• Complete quality checks
• Constantly observe quality of IG units
• Complete IG production from beginning of process to unit completion (Selecting cut lites, glass washing, flexible spacer IG stacking, grid insertion and modifying, butyl application, argon application, unloading onto glass cart, quality inspections, labelling, scanning for completion)

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must have fine motor skills. Stacking requires precision placement of spacer on the glass units and alignment of 2nd glass lite onto the spacer.
• Ability to work in tandem with another operator.
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacers.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents.
• Ability to move carts of glass in and out of production areas.
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
