Job summary

Welser Profile in Ohio seeks a production teammate to work on the floor with the roll-forming and finishing teams, helping keep machines running, materials moving, and production on schedule. You will assist with coil changes, packing finished goods, and reworking parts as needed, while inspecting with gauges and maintaining accurate counts.

The role requires adherence to EHS standards and focus on quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read safety rules and work instructions.

• Inspect parts using visual checks or gauges, and maintain precise counts of everything processed.
• Stay adaptable by helping in other production areas when required.
• Follow EHS standards and take responsibility for product quality, stopping production if necessary.
• Take on additional duties to strengthen overall team and department performance.

Education And Experience

Required Skills And Abilities

• Able to read and interpret documents i.e. safety rules, work instructions, prints, and control plans.
• Ability to use various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other hand tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must work effectively in a team.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.
• Ability to visually inspect parts and use of hands to use measuring gauges.
• Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
