Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. seeks a Production Associate to support the manufacturing team. You will load and unload material from machines, conveyors, and mobile equipment, and assist with supplying tools and placing material for processing.

Responsibilities include wrapping, stacking, and banding materials, building crates, and participating in continuous improvement activities. Strong attention to safety and housekeeping is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, etc.
• Assist in the placement of products on equipment or work surfaces, supplying or holding materials or tools.
• Wraps, stacks, and bands material or products.
• Builds or assembles crates.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Perform housekeeping, 5‑S, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level.
• 1‑year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
