Job summary

BlueScope in Michigan is seeking a Production Associate to support the manufacturing line. You will load and unload materials from machines and conveyors, prepare items for processing, and assist with wrapping, stacking, and crating parts.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork to maintain smooth operations. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or ACT WorkKeys at certified profile.
• 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills sufficient for job duties.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads material from machines, conveyors, and equipment.
• Places products on equipment or work surfaces, supplying tools as needed.
• Wraps, stacks, and bands materials or products.
• Builds or assembles crates for shipment or storage.
• Participates in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Performs housekeeping, 5S, and other duties as assigned.

Under direct supervision, the Production Associate assists in the production process by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, and mobile equipment; supplying or holding materials or tools; placing material in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting or wrapping; as well as stacking and banding material or products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, etc.
• Assists in the placement of products on equipment or work surfaces, supplying or holding materials or tools
• Wraps, stacks, and bands material or products
• Builds or assembles crates
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
