Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is hiring for a General Labor position on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:15 pm – 1:45 am) at our Monticello, IA facility. Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential.

You will read routings, track production, help with machine and material issues, and move raw materials using a forklift. High school diploma and 1 year in manufacturing required. We offer benefits and opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high production manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw materials or parts.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math including fractions and percentages.
• Ability to operate power hand tools and forklift.

Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 years experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
