Job summary

ThermoSafe in Tupelo, MS is seeking a Packager to join our manufacturing team. Under the Production Shift Supervisor, you will pack products quickly and safely, collaborating across departments to meet production targets.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a readiness to work overtime on multiple shifts. Prior manufacturing experience and a commitment to quality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pack products accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements.

Position SummaryWhile reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for packing products in a quick, safe, and efficient manner. Excellent attendance is crucial to the team's success. This role requires a proven ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborate across departments, identify defects on the packing line, and maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. You will take pride in your hands-on abilities, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail while supporting ThermoSafe’s operational excellence.

Preferred

• Previous forklift certification and experience safely operating a forklift.
• Experience with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting quality and safety programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to identify defects and maintain high quality standards.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires regular standing and walking throughout the workday and involves repetitious duties in a manufacturing environment. Employees frequently use their hands and arms to perform job duties and may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, speak, and hear. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled. Employees may be exposed to varying indoor temperatures and seasonal conditions typical of an industrial production setting. The work environment may also involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and hearing protection, may be required based on job assignments and work area conditions.
