Job summary

Niterra North America Inc is hiring a Production Associate for the third shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM) at our Sissonville, WV facility. The role focuses on operating machines, assembling and inspecting products, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work onsite, participate in TPM/5S, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to QMS/EMS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Overtime availability with short notice and shift flexibility.
  • Experience operating electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and inspect products through machine operation following procedures.
  • Start up and shut down machinery; set up tools and adjust with jigs and fixtures.
  • Maintain machine settings to ensure optimal performance and collect production data.
  • Document production data accurately and report quality or equipment issues.

Summary:

The Production Associate is responsible for producing high-quality products in a timely and safe manner, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures. This third-shift role (Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM) involves assembling and inspecting products through machine operation, maintaining proper equipment settings, collecting statistical data, and meeting productivity goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and inspect products through machine operation, following written and oral procedures.
  • Perform machinery startup and shutdown, and set up tools, making necessary adjustments using jigs, fixtures, and attachments.
  • Maintain proper machine control settings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collect statistical data and maintain accurate documentation for production processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify, report, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to product quality or machinery operation.
  • Meet productivity goals consistently, demonstrating a proactive approach to work.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Promptly report any abnormalities in product quality or machinery to the Team Leader.
  • Understand and comply with Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible to work overtime, often with short notice, and to adapt to shift work.
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or vocational/technical certification preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in operating electrical and mechanical manufacturing machinery preferred.
  • Inventory control experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs. (75 lbs. with assistance), standing or sitting for long periods, performing repetitive motions, and working in a manufacturing environment with its associated hazards.
