Job summary

Aerotek in Seguin, TX is seeking a 3rd Shift Operator to operate equipment and ensure the quality of cut materials in a contract role.

You will read blueprints, identify materials, and monitor performance while following customer specs and manufacturing philosophies. The position requires 6 months to 1 year in manufacturing or machine operation with basic inspection tools.

Hours are 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday through Thursday, onsite in Seguin, with competitive hourly pay and overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing or machine operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with quality inspection, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Job Title: 3rd Shift Operator

Job Description

This position is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment to ensure the quality of cut materials according to custom or stock specifications. This role requires adherence to customer quality requirements and manufacturing philosophies, with a focus on monitoring cutting performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to maintain quality of cut materials.

• Monitor cutting performance and efficiency, including deburring as needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate material specifications.

• Identify material types and gauges effectively.

• Operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools.

• Lift and/or move materials of varying weights, with assistance for heavier items.

Essential Skills

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
