Job summary

Encadria Staffing Solutions LLC in Prosperity, SC invites you to join Georgia Pacific Lumber as a Production Associate. This dayshift role runs Monday through Friday, 6 am to 6 pm, with occasional weekend work and a starting pay of $20 per hour.

You will help keep mill areas clean, lift up to 50 lbs, work in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment, and follow all safety and environmental guidelines while supporting a productive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, production, warehouse, farming or military environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks in a loud, non-climate-controlled mill environment.
• Willingness to work in hot/cogent conditions and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of mill operating areas to support safety and production goals.
• Perform tasks involving lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing or pulling for extended periods.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental policies and participate in the safety program.
• Work as a team to meet safety, production and quality objectives.
• Take on additional tasks and fill in other Prosperity Lumber roles as needed.

The schedule will be confined to dayshift hours 6 am – 6 pm. Starting pay will $20/hr.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains cleanliness of mill operating areas in a safe and productive condition such that mill waste does not impede mill safety and environmental goals as well as production equipment.Perform tasks such as lifting (50lbs), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud/noisyWork in a non-climate-controlled mill, with temperatures that can be higher in the summer and lower in the winterAdhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety program.Work as a team to meet safety, production, quality goals and complete tasksAny other tasks assigned and/or filling in other Prosperity Lumber team roles as requiredREQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in industrial, manufacturing, production, warehouse, farming or military environment.Ability to work in a hot, humid, cold and/or noisy industrial environment.Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least twelve (12) hours a dayPerform housekeeping functions to aid in keeping machinery running smoothly, reduce safety and fire hazards while maintaining environmental controls and other tasks as assigned.All interested applicants must demonstrate a pattern of safe behavior; good attendance and disciplinary record; initiative; effective communication, customer focus, and problem-solving skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills, be a self-starter and work independently.
