Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Production Associate for Manteno, IL. The role involves standing for long periods, performing basic manufacturing tasks, reading a tape measure, and applying basic math skills. Training is provided for the remaining processes.

Compensation starts at $21.33 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential. Shifts available include 1st shift and 3rd shift, Monday–Friday. A pathway for safety, training, and advancement is emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety policies and procedures.
• Read production schedules and specifications to determine product requirements.
• Set up and operate equipment, adjust speeds, and ensure quality conformance.
• Record production data and ensure accurate reporting of outputs and scrap.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any defects or issues.

Job Description

Production Associate|Manteno, IL|HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Do you have experience with basic manufacturing principles (Will be standing for long periods, fast-paced movement, read a tape measure, basic computer and math skills) We can train you on the rest!

Compensation:

• $21.33 an hour (Paid Weekly)*$1.00 shift differential

Available Shift:

• 1st Shift: 6:45am-3:15PM (Monday-Friday)
• 3rd Shift: 10:45 pm to 07:15am (Monday-Friday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows all plant safety policies & procedures

Participates in safety programs

Reads production schedule, work instructions, or customer specifications to determine product specifications.

Attaches specified chuck to spindle.

Moves controls and stops to set rotation speeds.

Lifts chuck using hoist or lift table and positions and secures it in spindle.

Starts machine, and moves controls to adjust positions and movements during machine operation.

Verifies conformance of finished product to specifications.

Decides on station and timing of each operation to assure efficient use of tools and time.

Computes such data as shipping pounds, WIP pounds, and scrap pounds.

Sets up changeovers for sheet width and roll widths.

Insures correct tools and resources are used to complete any job

Performs lockout procedures when required and insures procedures are followed correctly.

Insure proper cleaning of coater and process equipment as needed/required.

Insure the cleanliness of area from end of tenter to back of winders to maintain a safe and efficient work area.

Insures production reports are written neatly, timely, and accurately.

Insures roll handling and packaging is optimal and meets specifications.

Insure any and all defects in the sheet are reported to the operator.

Communicate effectively with OPS Operator.

Member of the production help chain.

Assists in PMs.

Operates a walkie.

Assists with web breaks / start ups / grinding / etc.

Other tasks as assigned by management
