Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality guidelines.
• Assist in preparing production line for runs and staging raw materials.
• Assist with production counts, quality checks, and downtime recording.
• Operate equipment to defined standards and product targets.
• Handle raw materials and help identify potential quality issues.
• Escalate issues to supervisor as necessary.
• Maintain clean production and warehouse areas and follow SOPs/GMPs.
• Maintain 5S in the production department.

Job description

Position Title: Production Associate

Wage: $17.00-$18.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm

As a Production Associate, you’ll support production runs, operate equipment, stage materials, perform quality checks, pack and palletize finished products, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follow all safety and quality guidelines
• Assist in preparing production line for runs, including proper safety checks and staging of raw materials
• Assist with production counts, quality checks, and downtime recording
• Operate all production equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Properly handle raw materials and assist in identifying potential quality issues
• Escalate issues to Operator, Production Supervisor, and Warehouse Manager as necessary
• Maintain production and warehouse areas in proper state of cleanliness and follow all SOPs; follow GMPs and keep company in compliance with certifications (Organic, Kosher, HACCP, SQF, etc.)
• Maintain 5s in the production department

Production Associate Requirements:

• Previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and PPE requirements
• Knowledge of manual and power jack operation (training will be provided, as necessary)
• Basic reading and math skills
• Basic computer skills, Redzone experience a plus
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand entire shift
