Job summary

Driverge Vehicle Innovations is seeking a hands-on technician to support vehicle installations and maintenance in a fast-paced shop. You will track inventory, install accessories, and disassemble/reassemble vehicles while wiring per specifications and performing electronic troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates have vocational training or automotive experience, comfort with many power tools, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Background in automotive tech or vocational training preferred.
  • Experience with automotive electrical and mechanical systems desirable.
  • Must be comfortable using a variety of power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Track supplies and equipment, notifying manager of inventory levels.
  • Install vehicle accessories and disassemble/reassemble vehicles.
  • Wiring per specifications and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Perform electronic troubleshooting and automotive maintenance.
  • Document service and installation actions according to SOP.

Job description

What you get to accomplish:
  • Track supplies and equipment notifying manager of inventory levels.
  • Install vehicle accessories. Disassemble and reassemble vehicles
  • Wiring per specifications: Adjust, repair, and/or replace wiring and relays in ignition, lighting, and safety control systems (change) – (preferred)
  • Perform electronic troubleshooting and automotive maintenance
  • Document, service, and installation action in accordance with company standard operating procedure.
What you should pos ses:
  • Individuals with background experience in vocational school, automotive, trade school experience or auto dealer experience preferred.
  • Have experience working with automotive electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Must have a solid comfort level using a variety of power tools: bandsaws, circular saws, jig saws, routers, solder and soldering irons, micro torches, drills, screw guns, utility knives and air saws.
  • Comfortable measuring and using a tape measure. Knowledgeable reading blueprints (preferred)
  • Must be able to work with chemicals.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid/Active Driver's license required.
