Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Chelsea, MI is seeking a Production Associate/Bindery Assistant for 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am, Mon–Fri). Starting pay is $17.00/hr with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities include interpreting work orders, feeding books into machinery, packing, performing hand operations, and maintaining quality and clean equipment. Requires 1–3 months experience or equivalent and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience or one year of manufacturing experience.
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interpret information on the work order and its contents.
• Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team.
• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons and safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Communicate with Supervisor and Scheduling Team as needed.
• Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies and job changeovers.
• Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved.
• Dispose of all waste properly.
• Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment.

11:00pm - 7am Monday to Friday. Must attend orientation either on Thursday or Friday during the day prior to start.
