Knight’s Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Production Associate for our Precast team. You will read plans, construct forms with close tolerances, operate basic tools safely, and contribute to high-quality precast concrete projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year in construction preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
  • Working knowledge of construction-related math.
  • Great organizational skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans to create forms with close tolerance.
  • Safely operate tools such as hammers, measuring tapes and related equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Identify needs for new tools, hardware, lumber and materials.
  • Assemble forms, cut and tie rebar, place castings, pour concrete, and finish.
  • Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other duties to support project completion.

Description
"We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled" Production Associate to join our Precast team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality precast concrete projects while working in a safe and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with form construction, concrete finishing, and a strong commitment to safety and precision.
What You'll Do
  • Read and interpret plans to accurately create forms with close tolerance to specifications, utilizing appropriate materials and tools.
  • Safely and skillfully operate tools such as hammers, measuring tapes, and other equipment necessary for constructing precast products.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify the need for new tools, hardware, lumber, and other materials required to complete projects effectively.
  • Assemble forms, cut and tie rebar, place castings into forms, pour concrete, and perform finishing work to meet project specifications.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and team success.

Requirements
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in the construction field is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
  • Working knowledge of construction-related math.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Must have the willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to accept and follow directions as provided by supervisors and ask questions when needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 100 lbs. with assistive devices.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather, including but not limited to high heat, low temperature, and high sun environments.
  • Ability to operate tools required to complete construction projects.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and kneel as required to construct precast products.
  • Ability to be on your feet 8 or more hours a day.
