Job summary

Knight’s Companies Inc. is seeking a Production Associate for the Precast team. You will read plans, construct forms, and perform concrete finishing with a focus on safety and precision.

The role involves assembling forms, tying rebar, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces to meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with form construction and concrete finishing, strong math and plan-reading abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s experience in construction is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
• Strong math skills related to construction.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans to create forms with close tolerances.
• Safely operate hand tools and measuring devices for precast construction.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify and obtain tools, materials, and hardware needed for projects.
• Assemble forms, cut and tie rebar, place castings, pour concrete, and finish work per specs.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Production Associate to join our Precast team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality precast concrete projects while working in a safe and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with form construction, concrete finishing, and a strong commitment to safety and precision.

What You’ll Do:

• Read and interpret plans to accurately create forms with close tolerance to specifications, utilizing appropriate materials and tools.
• Safely and skillfully operate tools such as hammers, measuring tapes, and other equipment necessary for constructing precast products.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety standards.
• Identify the need for new tools, hardware, lumber, and other materials required to complete projects effectively.
• Assemble forms, cut and tie rebar, place castings into forms, pour concrete, and perform finishing work to meet project specifications.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and team success.
• Minimum of one years’ experience in the construction field is preferred.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
• Working knowledge of construction-related math.
• Great organizational skills.
• Must have the willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to accept and follow directions as provided by supervisors and ask questions when needed.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
