Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

Material Handler / Forklift Operator, Little Rock Plant, Alexander, AR

Starting pay: $20.62

Shift: 1st: 5am - 1:30pm

As a Material Handler / Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and store products within our facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Forklift Operation
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials while using sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to prevent damage.
Material Handling
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves using sit-down forklifts and reach trucks.
  • Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner.
Inventory Management
  • Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials to facilitate easy access.
Safety Compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to company policies regarding equipment operation.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding material needs and inventory levels.
General Maintenance
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
