Job summary

Newman Technology Inc. is seeking a full-time manufacturing associate in Alabama to join an open assembly line. You will stand 8–12 hours, bend, stoop, and sit, and routinely lift up to 40 lbs while following all work instructions and ISO 9000/14001 guidelines to ensure safety and quality.

You must be able to read and apply instructions, adhere to COP guidelines, and collaborate with teammates to meet deadlines. Overtime may be required with short notice.

Job description

FULL TIME POSITION – SUMMARY:

Work as directed by Team Support to achieve the goals set for safety, customer quality expectations, production requirements, scrap and rework, and customer delivery expectations. Follow all guidelines set forth by ISO both 9000 and 14001. Follow all work instructions as defined by the current revision located at the relevant work station.

  • To perform specific job functions as outlined in the work instructions.
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the associate hand book.
  • Uphold the Clean, Organize, and Pick-up, (COP) guidelines as set forth by the company standard.
  • Follow all ISO guidelines that pertain to the production department.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
  • Able to read, understand, and apply work instructions.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow all ISO guidelines both 9000 and 14001.
  • Must be able to work overtime, possibly with short notice.
  • Be able to work in a fast pace environment, producing a quality product.
Nonessential Skills and Experience (preferred):
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • In a typical work day, the associate will be required to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours.
  • The associate will be required to routinely bend/stoop/sit (more than 4 hours per day).
  • The associate will be required to routinely lift and/or push up to 40 lbs.
  • The associate will be required to routinely push/pull (more than 4 hours per day)
  • The associate will routinely and repetitively use right/left or both hands for simple grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulation. (more than 4 hours per day)
  • The associate will be exposed periodically to dust, fumes, gases and/or chemicals (between 2-5 hours per day)
  • The associate will be exposed periodically to high noise levels and will be required to wear proper protection at all times.
  • The associate will spend 100% of their time working with his/her coworkers.
  • The associate is routinely subject to close supervision.
  • The associate will spend 100% of their time meeting deadlines set by others.
Work environment:

This job is performed in an open manufacturing assembly line.
