Job summary

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. is seeking a Production Associate to work across shop floor cells, manufacturing, packaging, and moving product while recording production data.

You will operate machinery, support safety and quality, and collaborate across departments to improve processes. The role is full-time hourly, with Sunday evening through Friday evening shifts and 40–45 hours weekly, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).
  • Able to operate basic shop tools and machinery as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Work to safety, quality, and time standards while identifying abnormalities.
  • Organize and maintain clean, safe work area.
  • Assist team in solving problems and improving processes.
  • Perform routine minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate across departments to serve internal and external customers.
  • Read measuring tools and operate equipment including saws, presses, drills, routers.
  • Support continuous improvement and learn directions.

Job description

The Production Associate will work with other team members throughout all departments to perform excellent work and continuously improve. The job will consist primarily of working in a shop floor environment to manufacture, package, and move product in multiple production cells. Work may include operating machinery and recording production data.

Reports to: Production Manager

Key Roles

  • Work to standard : Perform work to standards for safety, quality, and time while identifying abnormalities.
  • Organize work area : Maintain and improve organization and cleanliness of work area.
  • Help solve problems : Support the team in solving problems for customers and improving processes.
  • Routine minor maintenance : Regular care and adjustment of tools and equipment.
  • Provide value to internal and external customers
  • Create and pursue self-development plan
  • Other duties as needed : Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and may include potential transfers to other departments and local facilities.

Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing setting. May be subject to the current local weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are varying from Sunday evening through Friday evening. 40-45 hours are typical. Occasional additional overtime will be required.
