Job summary

The Kasper Group in New York is seeking a Production Assistant to track pre-production samples, update packing lists in RLM, and support on internal projects. You will coordinate with design and tech to ensure target dates are met for sample approval and maintain WIP reports with factories/vendors.

Required: 2–3 years in production, denim experience preferred, Bachelor’s degree, and strong MS Office skills. Salary range $55K-$60K, on-site role with EEO employer.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate critical dates for time and action, and approval process for each style.
• Maintain factory allocation chart and update necessary information daily/weekly.
• Maintain weekly WIP reports from factories/vendors and monitor production timing.
• Review WIP with manager and discuss issues for solutions.
• Collaborate with design, Sales and Tech to provide information to overseas factories/vendors.
• Enter/Issue POs in RLM and follow up until shipping.
• Resolve production issues by communicating with design and Tech when needed.
• Track and log FIT/PPA/TOP samples and washes and communicate updates to factories.
• Review and approve Ocean/Air bookings from Import department.
• Update Pre-Shipping Documents weekly in RLM.
• Communicate daily with factories/vendors to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with all levels to ensure calendar adherence.

We are currently seeking a Production Assistant. The Production Assistant is responsible track Pre production samples, update RLM with factory packing lists, and assist where needed on internal projects. This role will coordinate with design and tech to ensure target dates are met for sample approval. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Negotiate critical dates for time and action, and approval process for each style.
• Maintain factory allocation chart created by the manager and update necessary information on daily/weekly basis.
• Maintain weekly WIP reports from factories/vendors and monitor if production process on each order is in time and action. Review and discuss urgent issues in production with the manager immediately
• Review WIP with manager weekly to provide status report of each factory/vendor and address issues for solution.
• Collaboratively work with various departments to obtain necessary information related to production and provide to overseas factories/vendors such as tech pack, pattern, wash target, trim sheets, etc.
• Enter/Issue POs in RLM and follow up until shipping is completed. Ensure any changes/requirements are updated in POs for factory/vendor to adhere to.
• Resolve and coordinate production issues by communicating with design, Sales, and Tech when needed.
• Track, receive and log in FIT/PPA/TOP samples and washes and ensure comments are sent out to factories/vendors from Tech/Wash departments in a timely manner.
• Review and approve Ocean/Air bookings received from Import department.
• Update Pre-Shipping Documents weekly in RLM upon receipt from factories/vendor.
• Communicate daily (verbal/written) with factories/vendors to ensure on-time deliveries of finished goods into the warehouse.
• Resolve issues arising during the production process to avoid late deliveries.
• Collaborate with all levels including management of Design, Technical Design and Product Development to exchange information to ensure calendar adherence.

Salary Range: $55K - $60K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
