Job summary

The Kasper Group is seeking a Senior Textile Coordinator to lead fabric sourcing, development, and documentation across woven and knit categories. You will collaborate with Design, Print, and Corporate Textile teams, and interface with our Hong Kong office.

Qualifications include a Textile Design degree and 3+ years in fabric sourcing. Strong organizational skills, aesthetic sense, and proficiency in MS Office, PLM, and Photoshop are essential.

Responsibilities

• Research trends and apply them to our price point.
• Meet with fabric vendors and attend trade shows.
• Request FDS sheets and work with suppliers on prices, minimums, fabric width, and content.
• Maintain PLM database and related paperwork.
• Request swatches and source sub-proto yardage locally when necessary.
• Keep precise records of fabric developments from adoption to pre-production.
• Keep records of wash developments from adoption to pre-production.
• Maintain Fabric library and organize fabric selections by mill/category.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Textile Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Research trends in the market and understand how to apply them to our price point.
• Meet with fabric vendors and attend trade shows
• Request FDS sheets and work with suppliers on prices, minimums, fabric width, and fabric content
• Keep PLM database system and related paperwork updated with current information
• Request swatches and source sub-proto yardage locally when necessary
• Keep precise and detailed records of all fabric developments from initial adoption through to pre- production
• Keep precise and detailed records of all wash developments from initial adoption through to pre- production
• Approve all dup lot qualities
• Maintain Fabric library
• Miscellaneous organization, filing of fabrics, prints, color standard items.
• Work closely with Design team, Print Team, Corporate Textile team and our Hong Kong office.
• Assist in ordering all sample ydg for market
• Daily communication for all fabric follow up with the mills
• Cut 1/4 yd fabric cutting ref of all sample ydg received in house for our records/ file with FDS
• Request all FDS from mills for ALL qualtities sampled and save in corp Share folder
• Cut swatch of all sample ydg received and label with all fabric information for Design boards
• Assist designers in pulling ydg for sample cutting
• Keep sample ydg area neat and orderly every season
• Help organize fabric selections by mill/category upon receipt

Salary Range: $75K - $85K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
