Job summary

The Salvation Army in Cleveland, OH is seeking a driver responsible for the security and safe operation of the vehicle and other assigned equipment. You will report accidents and injuries to your supervisor, perform daily walk-around inspections, and keep the cab and box clean, removing personal items.

You will plan daily routing, make scheduled calls for pickups, and ensure timely transfers of boxes. Ideal candidates are reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow documentation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the security and safe operation of the vehicle and other assigned equipment.
• Properly report to immediate supervisor all accidents involving the truck, personal injury or property damage and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Preform daily walk around inspection of vehicle, checking air, water, oil, and other items to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Report any problems immediately to the supervisor.
• Ensure truck cab and box are clean and personal items are removed daily.
• Plan daily routing based on pick up assigned and make all calls scheduled including boxes.
