Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a truck driver in Ohio to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and assigned equipment. You will be responsible for security, daily inspections, and following routes as scheduled.

You will report incidents to your supervisor, maintain a clean cab and box, and communicate any problems promptly to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the security and safe operation of the vehicle and other assigned equipment.
• Report accidents, injuries, and property damage to supervisor; complete required paperwork.
• Perform daily walk-around inspection of vehicle, checking air, water, oil, and other items to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Report problems immediately to supervisor.
• Ensure truck cab and box are clean; remove personal items daily.
• Plan daily routing based on pickups assigned and make all calls scheduled, including boxes.
