Job summary

Fox Business Network is seeking a Production Assistant for The Claman Countdown in New York. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting producers with opens, teases, graphics, and segment prep.

You will coordinate reporter hits, build daily rundowns, pitch daily stories, book guests, and ensure smooth live operations. A journalism-related degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with internship in broadcast media valued.

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Past internship experience in broadcast media preferred.
• Strong digital and social media skills and excellent communication.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a high-paced news environment.
• Proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as news demands.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Business Network is looking for a talented Production Assistant to join The Claman Countdown team. As the Production Assistant, you thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and can complete tasks error-free.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist producers with elements for the opens, resets, teases and segments, including pulling and cutting VO/SOTs; selecting, buying photos, and making pic pushes; creating graphics

• Coordinate reporter hits and produce minute by minute post show

• Help build daily rundown

• Pitch stories for news of the day and future segments

• Book guests during breaking news situations

• Help book studios, pods, check in guests during live show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong digital and social media skills

• Experience with Dalet and other video editing software preferred

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

• Past Internship experience in broadcast media preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• A keen interest in business and financial news

• The ability to thrive under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment

• A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Flexibility to work varied hours as news demands

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
