• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Past internship experience in broadcast media preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A keen interest in business and financial news.
• The ability to thrive under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment.
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as news demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist producers with opens, resets, teases and segments, including pulling and cutting VO/SOTs.
• Selecting, buying photos, and making pic pushes.
• Creating graphics; coordinate reporter hits and produce minute by minute post show.
• Help build daily rundown; pitch stories for news of the day and future segments.
• Book guests during breaking news situations.
• Help book studios, pods, check in guests during live show.

pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
